Many of our wonderful friends & followers have asked for an update on little Naomi . . . .
And we are pleased to provide you with some wonderful news!!
As you will recall, this beautiful 3 month old female stray puppy who was severely injured earlier this week, in what appears to be a coyote attack, has been taken in by Take Me Home Pet rescue (TMHPR) as of Friday. She was found in a rural area and rescued by our friends at the Balch Springs Animal Shelter.
She was taken into their medical facility for medical treatment prior to being moved to a foster home. She had fluid collecting under the puncture wounds, so a tube was put into place to drain the toxic fluid.
By Friday the tubes could be removed and she was picked up by TMHPR founder, Elise and a fabulous volunteer, who also fosters our more severe medical cases. She was then taken to our partnering vet clinic for an assessment and medical instructions.
The good kind — feeling no pain!!
Naomi is currently in a foster home where she is comfortable, getting lots of love and learning how to be a member of a family. Here are some of the most recent photos we received from her foster mom today.
You will notice that Nala is watching over her new friend, Naomi and sharing her flower toys. Her foster mom says that chewing on flowers makes this baby tired.
Thank you to everyone who donated to this baby’s care. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is in the best hands, receiving the best care.
More updates to come soon! Keep checking back!
