Day 1 at Balch Springs Animal Shelter
You remember Chief, right?
He was the Shepherd/Shar Pei mix (our best guess based on those ears) who was taken to the Balch Springs Animal Shelter by a Good Samaritan. She found him with a large infection on the side of his face/neck. (Click here for 1st Blog Story)
Feb. 4th – Freedom Ride
A week has passed and Chief is ready for his next ride —– A ride to a loving foster home or better yet, a foster to adopt home.
Feb 11th – Play Time at TMHPR
Chief has proven that he holds no grudge against mankind. He is a happy dog who simply wants attention and love. He loves playing with his toys and the many volunteers who have been taking care of him during his journey.
He walks well on a leash and his tail never stops wagging. Seriously, not even for the photo could he keep that tail still.
If you are interested in helping Chief, by taking him into your home as a foster, please contact Take Me Home Pet Rescue by visiting the website and filling out a Foster Home Application. www.takemehomepetrescue.com
If you are not in a position to foster or adopt, please consider making a donation to his medical care.
Chief will, once again, go under anesthesia on Feb. 19th for x-rays to confirm all of the bullet fragments have been successfully removed from his face.
Please visit the website and click on the Donate button in the upper right hand corner. Every amount helps this poor boy reach his healthiest and best self.
Thank you for your support in helping these sweet animals.
