The Littles Are Taking Over TMHPR!

We made it to FRIDAY!!!

We survived another work week.  And we finally saw some sunshine!

So, what is the perfect beginning to our weekend?

Updates on our littlest dogs at Take Me Home Pet Rescue (TMHPR).

These days  these “littles” seem to be taking over TMHPR!  But, they are so darn cute & take up very little room that we don’t much care.

Do you know someone looking for a smaller sized family pet?  One that can be easily loaded into the car and help with carpool, soccer practices or ball games?

Or maybe you are looking for that lap dog who is always ready to cuddle up next to you.  One who doesn’t judge you for your binge watching of your favorite show?  (House of Cards, anyone?)

Well, these little guys may be just what you are looking for in your family.

First up, Charming . . .

We shared with you Prince Charming’s story a couple of weeks ago.  He is the Miniature Pinscher Mix, approximately a year old, who was found about 7 months ago nearly dead from being left out in 105 degree weather, trapped in a metal cage, wearing a winter sweater.  (Charming’s Journey)

This sweet boy is still looking for his forever family.  Here are some updated photos from one of our volunteers who took Charming into her home, while his foster family traveled for Spring Break.  Her kids had a wonderful time with a small, energetic dog around the house.

Family dog & Charming were a great pair this week.

Charming has a great personality and has never met a person he did not like.  Have a lap that is missing a sweet lap dog. Charming is perfect to fill that spot.

Meet sweet Lilith.
Found running in the middle of a busy street before an ice storm, a wonderful volunteer scooped her up and took her home.

Lilith, a young poodle mix, was very shy at first and had trust issues with humans.  It was apparent she had been abused or neglected during her short life.

But, she has learned to trust her foster family very quickly and loves to play with the kids, dogs and cats in the home.  She has been potty trained, vaccinated and spayed.  And now she is ready for her Forever Home.

Lilith’s Foster Mom loves her so much.  She is a smart girl who will make a great companion dog, who will love snuggling on the couch in the evenings.

Interested in meeting Lilith?  Please fill out an Adoption Application on our website:

Our fun-loving & very sweet Nala.

Nala is a Pomeranian Mix who captures the hearts of all who meet her.  She was rescued by Duck Team 6 from the snowy and bitterly cold streets during an ice storm.

She has been given the nickname Foxy but the volunteers due to her incredible facial features.  She will make someone’s home complete.  She is approximately a year old, fun loving, but also a cuddle bug.

Nala loves to play tug and fetch.  Here she is trying to convince a volunteer to put down the camera phone and play!!

Want to meet Nala?  Please visit our website and fill out an Adoption Application.  She is ready to find a Forever Home where she will be kept safe and never wander the cold streets alone again.

To meet these sweet babies, or to learn more about them . . . the first step is the Adoption Application.  This is the first step to providing a Forever Home for our rescued animals.

And don’t forget our Meet & Greet events on Saturdays in Richardson.  The dogs and cats would love to meet you!  They all love the attention that Saturday visitors bring to them!
