We NEED shoes!!
This CRAZY woman has signed us up to collect gently used shoes for 60 days.
The shoes go to 3rd world countries & we collect cash for the dogs & cats of TMHPR!
She has challenged us to collect 100 bags of shoes!!
And she is putting 25 shoes in each bag!!
My calculations say that is . . . .
2500 pair of SHOES!!
So, we need EVERYONE to collect shoes. Currently, we have collected 14 bags of shoes!! That is 350 pair of shoes already! Keep them coming!
Teachers . . . make it a class project.
Moms . . . reach out to your fellow Moms and collect at playdates.
Having a party? How about admission is a bag of shoes?
Hit up your neighborhood site. Offer to collect on your front porch.
Every single dollar counts for TMHPR. Currently, we have 6 heartworm positive dogs in our care. And we just had a Parvo Puppy spend 10 days in the hospital. We never shy away from the hard cases. And we know that every shoe collected helps us pay these medical bills.
Now, More Good Stuff
Check out this beautiful girl, Gisella or fondly known as “Ella”. This sweet girl was one of the last G-girls to be well enough to receive her rabies shot yesterday. She is heartworm positive, so her road to full health will be a lengthy one.
We have fabulous volunteers who have brought in Paul Mitchell pet shampoo and conditioner for Ella and her sister, Gracie. Their hair has already looks so much better with the baths and brushing with loving and caring hands. Her ears are up and she is no longer running from humans! Next step, a foster home.
Best News of the Month!
Our Gabby girl has been released from the hospital!! This adorable nugget of cuteness spent 10 days in the hospital with Parvo. She made it through some rough days and nights due to the fabulous love and care given by Animal Medical Center of Richardson. Their staff have nursed three of our puppies back to health from this dreaded disease this year.
Best news our volunteers & followers could hope for this week! Watch for a Razoo that will be published to help raise money for Gabby’s medical bills.
Do you recognize this smiley goof in the bottom left corner? That is our adorable Cocoa all settled into her Forever Home. She loves her big sister and has learned that a loving home is a great place to be!
We received this photo from an adopter who has two TMHPR pups in their family. Mom gave a forever home to Bechler first. He was one of Holly’s babies who came into care on Christmas night. His TMHPR name was Rudy.
And then this year, her daughter saw this blonde beauty and fell in love. Farrah, now known as Winnie, was left behind when her family moved out of the house. She was a volunteer favorite when she would smile a big goofy toothy grin when spoken to at the Adoption Center.
These two are inseparable and love to attend doggie daycare together. We love hearing from our Adopters!! They provide such loving homes to the rescued dogs of TMHPR.
