March 8th: TMHPR Pupdate – Happy Tails

Happy Tails Pupdate
At Take Me Home Pet Rescue (TMHPR) we work so very long and hard to match our homeless pets with perfect, loving families.  When we go through this process we are thoughtful, discerning, and prayful that we match the right dog with the right family.
Tia graduated!
Gabby, (fka Tia), has come so far with her adoptive family. She has gained so much confidence and completed her basic obedience on-leash program at K9 University in Garland. She  was so broken physically and emotionally when Elise saved her. Her family is perfect for her.

Volunteering, rescuing and fostering is not always easy.  There are so many great stories, but there are sad ones too.  The ones we couldn’t save.  The ones we had to leave behind. Or just a day filled with red tape, sick dogs and lots of dog/puppy poop.

Receiving updates from our adopters helps to remind us why we do what we do.  And saving that “one life” does matter.

Thunder Playing Hospital
We received these photos of Thunder (fka Simba) playing Animal Hospital.
What is more awesome than the bond between dog and child?
Thunder's Loving Eyes
Thunder’s eyes are full of love and thankfulness for the life he now lives.
Yep, it is so worth it.
We heard from these adopters just a couple weeks ago.  Can you guess who this baby is that they are holding tight?
Hint:  They celebrated their 1 year “Gotcha Date” just a couples weeks ago.
Family Photo
Happy Family
Awesome family photo with a smiling family.
Tanner as a Puppy
This little guy was one of Marianne’s “littles” who we took in Christmas night 2014.
Really, there is nothing better than updates as sweet as this.
Toby James
Toby James, (fka Tanner) is a beautiful and well loved boy.
We love receiving updates from our adopters.
Cooper and Jasper
Cooper, (fka Copper), with his wonderful fur-brother, Jasper.
These two were meant to be together.  It was obvious from the moment they met.
And human siblings are just as great!
Stella knows she is loved.
This girl endured so much in the first year of her life, being unwanted.
She deserves all of the love and attention from her wonderful Forever Family!
So, if you wonder why we foster and work so hard.

Why we allow ourselves to shed tears and let them go . . .

When we get them well, love them for weeks or months . . . . . this is why.

Because there are Forever Families out there who can continue our work . . . we will just be very selective.

And there are others out there who need us . . . .
