Feb. 22, 2016 – Monday Meow

This week we have a lot of cat and kitten updates for you. We have kittens, we have a new intake, and we have a few updates from our favorite “married” couple”, Colin & Janna! So let’s get right to it…

We. Have. Kittens!

This is Annabelle when she was new to our program, pregnant and a bit scared.

Here’s a shot of Annabelle during the birthing process.

Check out the grin on Annabelle as she rests and nurses her 4 kittens.
We are so happy to be here for Annabelle during her very last litter of kittens. In the blink of an eye these kittens will be ready to be weaned and Annabelle will be ready to be spayed so that she can retire from mothering kittens. But until that time comes, we are going to enjoy these adorable infant kittens! We’ll be sure to update here in our Monday Meow as well as on our Facebook page.

New Cat Alert: Quincy

This sweet boy is brand new TODAY! He’s had a busy day between transporting from his previous home (where his family left him!) to our vet, then from the vet to the adoption center, then his foster mom picked him up to bring him to his new home until he is adopted. He checked out to be a healthy boy, about 3 years old we think, so we’re hopeful he’ll be in his forever home soon enough.

We’ve already received one update from his foster mom. Apparently he is a sink cat rather than a cat bed cat as he had a big, warm cat bed available and this is where he chose to nap!

Just before publishing this blog post, Quincy’s new foster mom sent in this video. Check him out… playing already and he’s not even been “home” for half a day!

Colin & Janna Update

Colin demonstrates how cats tend to like the cheapest toys they can get their paws on! Cat people know that you can spend tons of money on a cat tree or other fancy toys but your cat is likely to be more interested in the cardboard box it came in!

Unfortunately, Janna reports in this week a tad bit heavier this week. She’s about 4 ounces up, but that doesn’t mean she’s giving up on her diet plan! Sometimes plateaus happen, but she will overcome this especially since she has such a dedicated foster mom!

Thanks, again, for reading our Monday Meow… it means so much to our cat team and to our cats that you are interested in what they are doing and telling the world about them. Have a great week… and just remember, you already made it through Monday. 🙂
