Chief wants you to know that his stitches are out!!
He paid a visit to the vet last Wednesday; and he has declared that he is all healed up and ready to play!
Chief and the volunteers were beyond ready to celebrate. So a field trip was in order! Off they went to visit his foster friend, Freya, for a play date in the sunshine!
This was Chief’s first chance to run off leash in a yard since having bullet fragments and shattered teeth removed after being shot in the face. It was a monumental day.
Chief & Freya did some running . . .
Some twirling . . .
Some jumping . . .
Some lounging . . .
And lots of smiling . . .
It just does something to your heart when you see a rescue dog smile. It is extra special.
Freya is a an adorable, playful & silly one year old. She is a completely obedience trained sleek whippet mix (best guess). She is great with other dogs and good with most cats. And she has never met a stranger. Due to her larger size and high energy level, we don’t believe a home with small children would be a good match.
Chief is a 2-3 year old Shar Pei mix loves to play with other dogs, chase balls, play tug, ride in the car and make new friends. No cats though. He just finds them a bit too interesting. He is a very happy boy and holds no grudges against mankind.
Both of these beautiful dogs are available for adoption through Take Me Home Pet Rescue (TMHPR). If interested in meeting either of them, please visit www.takemehomepetrescue.com for adoption information and complete the online application.
